Joanne was my childhood friend. I moved to Atlanta over 40 years ago and I often wondered about her and tried to find her but was unsuccessful. I just learned about her passing from another childhood friend. My sincere condolences to her family and friends. May my childhood friend rest in eternal peace. Rest Well...

JoAnne was a remarkable person who will be sorely missed. It was such a joy working with her over the past six years. My thoughts and prayers are with JoAnne and her loved ones during this time of healing.

"Intreat me not to leave thee, and to return from following after thee. For whither thou goest, I will go, and where thou lodgest, I will lodge. Thy people shall be my people and thy God, my God. Where thou diest I will die and there I will be buried. The Lord do so to me. And more also, If aught but death part thee and me. "

I have lovingly known Joanne since September 1999 and am blessed beyond words she came into my life. She was my Security counterpart who worked in the Division office at the time I was hired in the security role in Huntington. She was a patient teacher and grew to be my Mentor and friend. As I now look back at all those years we were together as co-workers and friends, all I can say is THANK YOU. Because of you and your wonderful spirit and loving heart, I don't have to move forward in life empty hearted. Thankful.
God Bless the family and friends.....take comfort knowing you will see her again some day. I love you all.

Dear Rutledge Family,
Joanne is a friend from the days of my childhood. She expressed the most kindest & loving remarks at the Memorial Services of my Brother, Tonny Couzens. She recalled his smile in the days of their youth and today I´m remembering hers as well along with her wonderful spirit of Love to match. We are heartbroken for your family in the profound loss you´re enduring of Mother Barbera & Sister Jo´. It´s seemingly more than the heart can bear, BUT GOD May the Love of God surround you, His Comfort keep you and that He gives you Peace that passes all understanding.
Prayers to all, Greg & Judy Parker

Words can not express the loss both personal and professional. She was a friend, she was a colleague for nearly 12 years. She has touch the hearts of so many, and kick some butts too. She was courageous. She was a sister in Christ, doing Gods work and he has called her home. With selfish sorrow I wish her back to share a smile, a laugh and a hug. The tears are a painful symbol of the fond memories that will live on until I see you again.
