ROY EVERAGE Obituary

EVERAGE, Roy L.

Roy L. Everage, 79, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021, in Springfield, Ohio. He was born October 20, 1941, in Hindman, Kentucky, the son

of Adam and Alta (Dean) Everage. Roy enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country during Vietnam. He worked for Parker Sweeper for more than 20 years and later worked for the Springfield City Schools until retirement. Roy loved spending time with his family, especially the grandkids. He loved to talk to everyone he met. He also cherished the daily competition of solving the word scramble in the newspaper before the rest of his family. Roy is survived by his two children, Nicholas (Ashley) Everage and Tamara (Jerry) Wamsley; sister, Linda (Jim) Williford; and five grandchildren, Jared Wamsley, Jada Wamsley, Sarah Everage, Marina Wamsley, and Lilie Everage. Roy is preceded in death by two brothers Aster Everage and Henry Eugene Everage and four sisters Ethel Everage, Bulah Newman, Lois Phillips and Joyce Elzey. Visitation will be held from 11:00AM until 1:00PM Monday at Lawrenceville Church of God. Funeral services will follow with Pastor Alan Cain officiating. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery. A Celebration of life will be held following the services at Lawrenceville Church of God. Online expressions of sympathy may be sent through
