I worked with Ray many times through out my 18 year career, but I can remember being a 1st year apprentice and got paired with Ray at truck and bus, as I tried to learn from him during that time I can remember going home that first week , every day telling my wife , that the guy I'm working with is so dry, he has no personality, and started really dreading going to work the next day! but oh how I was wrong ! Ray is one of those guys who will feel you out , make sure your true and worth his time, and if you do earn his respect, there isn't many men on this earth that has a bigger heart than that man! I thank God I got to know this man, because of him I have made a career and supported my family on what he has taught me! I could never thank that man enough! so Ray rest well my friend , you deserve it my millwright brother! and to his family, my heart goes out to you! the millwright family has lost a legend! sincerely KIMBO !

I was told about his passing and was brought back to my millwright days, ray was one of the best guys to learn a trade from , he was very skilled and a great teacher ! For that I have been able to make a great living for my family. I will always be thankful for the time and knowledge he has passed on to me. To the family , I am very sorry for your loss, you and the brotherhood has lost a great man!

Ray was a childhood friend while growing up in Drexel. Even after we moved he kept in touch and he would often stop and visit with my mother who thought the world of him. I last seen Ray at my mothers funeral. So sorry to hear of his passing.
