GOODMAN, James B.

James B. Goodman, 79, of Springfield, passed away on Veteran's Day, November 11, 2021, in his home. He was born on November 27, 1941, in

Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Edward H. and Ruth E. (Brooke) Goodman. Jim served our country in the United States Navy for 30 years, retiring as a Commander. He earned his MBA from Michigan State University. Jim also retired from Fairborn Buick after many years of service. He was a steward of the finances of the AMVETS Post 148 having served the members as Financial

Officer. He is survived by his loving wife of fourteen years, Kathleen F. (Grimm) Goodman, children: Jennifer (Michael) Sluterbeck, Jocelyn (Chris) Cook, Jonathan (Deirdre)

Goodman, Doreen (Mike) Sanders, Sheryl (Jeff) Fletcher, and Flo Boyd; fourteen grandchildren (including his caregiver Kiana) and thirteen great-grandchildren, siblings: Edward (Noreen) Goodman, Elaine Small, and G. Douglas (Karen) Goodman; and several nieces and nephews. He was also

preceded in death by his brother George. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 20th at 1:00 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be held from 12-1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial with military honors will follow in the Ferncliff Cemetery.
