I´m sorry to see that Mr. Owens has passed away. It doesn´t say in his obituary of him teaching at Northridge Jr. High school. I had a 7th grade Science teacher Carl Owens and also as a Home Room teacher.
We moved away to Northmont district after 8th grade. He sure looks like the Mr. Owens I knew. My memory though is he was married and her name was Martha but he called her Marty. They lived on Highland Ave in Dayton and I believe she taught at a Catholic School, I believe the one off of Smithville, maybe Our Lady of the Rosary. He was a wonderful teacher and they took such an interest in the kids.
We would have events at school and they would participate. If this is the same Mr. Owens I want his family to know I´ve always remembered his kindness and the positivity he taught us to have. When I think of a good teacher I remember him. God Bless him.

Oh Betty, I'm so sorry. I loved Carl and his sense of humor. When he cooked breakfast for us, it was delicious! I'm just so sorry for your loss.
Love, Angela
