Alan Glenn Owens, passed away on March 14, 2026, at the age of 91, at his home in Hammond, Wisconsin, surrounded by family. Alan was born on December 7, 1934, to parents Fred and Stella Owens. He graduated from St. Croix Central with the class of 1953 and went on to attend St. Olaf College where he sang in the choir during his freshman year. He then transferred to Iowa State University for agriculture.
Alan dedicated his life to the farming community. He owned a Vermeer agriculture dealership and took great pride in working with farmers and being a farmer himself. Alan married Jeanne Vadnais in August of 1964 and together they were blessed with three sons.
Known for his resilience, he faced life’s challenges with a tough demeanor and a strong work ethic. Not much bothered Alan, and he was a man who seldom complained.
Proud of his Norwegian heritage, Alan enjoyed spending time at his cabin, where he enjoyed fishing and hunting. In his later years, he enjoyed caring for his lawn and cutting firewood. His Lutheran faith was of significant importance to Alan, guiding him throughout his life.
Alan is survived by his sons, Glenn (Rachel) Owens, Scott (Valeria) Owens; grandchildren Alex Owens, Parker Owens, Ava Owens, Landon Owens, and Ivana Martinez; brother Fred Owens and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife Jeanne; son Rick Owens; parents Fred and Stella; brother Orville and sister Jean.
Services honoring Alan will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Peace Lutheran Church, in Baldwin. visitation will start at 10:30 AM followed by a service at 12:00 PM.
Memorials are preferred to Peace Lutheran Church.
