I knew Joe from running around with
my friend, Gary Spaeth. Joe was friendly and a serious pool player. Gary gave Joe the ultimate compliment, "He could play a little." Joe always remembered me at pool events and was kind. Truly a great loss!

Joe will be deeply missed by so many. He was always so kind and a joy to speak with wherever he was. I will always appreciate the tips he shared with me in the pool rooms whenever I asked a question.

Joe was a good guy. He was a guy who was always teaching the game of pool. I aways got tickled by his distinctive laugh. The Dayton pool scene lost a good one.

I've known Joe for going on 30 years now and this just doesn't seem real. He was one of the nicest and most thoughtful people I've ever met and it's just not fair for him to have been taken so soon. Rest In Peace, Downtown Joe Brown.

Sweet Joe, we are in shock. Though our paths have not crossed in recent days, you are a member of our Tribal Nation of Pool. May the angels carry you to heaven and you rest in eternal peace. Save me a seat on the rail.
