I had to share the gym with Norm when I was coaching gymnastics and of course he was always concerned about the chalk on the floor and we had to make sure that we swept the floor very well. Very early in my first year of teaching at Beavercreek High School he was sitting next to me. Rex Warner and John Townsley went along with this by the way, but Norm had me believing that there was a swimming pool underneath the floor in the gym. They all never stopped teasing me about that!. Gregg and I both enjoyed his wonderful sense of humor. He was a great mentor to us both and will always have a wonderful place in our memories of Beavercreek High School.
