Joe Dranschak loved his family, his friends, and his community. For decades, I have witnessed Joe working diligently to participate in events such as the first Smith Middle School carnival, Butler High School activities, every SummerFest at Henry Seger Community Park, several Vandalia-Butler Chamber of Commerce events, annual tree lighting ceremonies at the Vandalia Recreation Center, and many, many others. Plus, the many other tasks he accomplished for the Vandalia-Butler Historical Society. R.I.P. Joe. You are greatly missed.

I'm so sad to hear of Joe's passing. We had great conversations at the Old Timers GMAC breakfasts. Rest in peace Joe. My condolences to Joe's family and friends.
