Barbara Dranschak Obituary
It is with great sadness the family of Barbara Kay Dranschak announces her passing on June 23, 2017, at the age of 61, following a long battle with Wegener's Granulomatosis. Barb will be remembered by her beloved son, John (Michelle) Dranschak, mother Margaret Price, and siblings, Bruce Alan, Catherine,
John, and Daniel (Barb) Price, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Barb was preceded in death by her father, John F. Price and sister, Sheryl J. Rice. Barb overcame all odds, living years beyond the expectation of her doctors. Barb devoted her life to her family and friends. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and proud nurse. She graduated from Ridgedale High School in 1974 and Marion Technical College, School of Nursing. Her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her only son, John Joseph. At long last, Barb is free from pain, and has entered eternal rest with our Heavenly Father. Visiting hours will be held from 4-8 PM, Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Ferguson Funeral Home 202 E. Main St. (St. Rt. 161 W) Plain City, where funeral services will be held 10 AM Wednesday with visitation one hour prior from 9-10 AM Wednesday, followed by a celebration of life at her son's home. Barb and I grew up in the same neighborhood and were childhood friends. Even then, she was a kind and caring person, traits I'm sure she carried throughout her life. My deepest sympathies to her family and friends on her passing. May she rest in peace.

Barb and I have been friends since grade school. We lost touch with each other, but found each other again on Facebook. She was truly a kind and caring person who tried to help everyone that she could. May she now RIP snd be pain free. You will be missed my dear friend. Barb was like a big sister that I never had. Growing up, she used to make pancakes for Dan and I when we would stay overnight together. She was sweet older sister. Rest In Peace Barb.
