Sharon Louise Orr, born Sharon Louise Depp, passed away on February 1, 2026, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, at the age of 78. She was born in Columbus, Ohio, and raised in
Plain City, Ohio. Sharon then built a home with her husband and family in
Radcliff, Ky eventually settling in
Vine Grove, Ky.
Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, Juliette Depp (Canaday); her father, Gene Depp; her sister, Toni Yutzy, and her husband, Lutrell; her brothers, Dale Depp and Edgar Depp; sister-in-law Teresa Orr; brother-in-law Bernard Orr; and her beloved grandchildren, Austine and Ashley Riddle as well as her nephew Matthew Depp.
She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Augustus Orr; her children, Jay Major, Kristine Riddle, Augustus Orr, and Derrick Orr; her children's spouses, Amanda Orr, Amy Orr, and Carrie Saxton; her cherished grandchildren, Jordan, Jaylen, Alexander, Jenay, Adrianna, Sean, Vivian, Brynn, Penelope, Abigail, Cooper, and Oliver; and her sister, Judy Depp. Her In-Laws Wanda, Daryl, and Cynthia Orr. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Sharon dedicated 40 plus years of service to early childhood development while working as a civilian for the United States Military, where she made a lasting impact through her compassion and commitment to young children and their families. After retiring, she continued working at H&R Block, where she was known for her warmth, diligence, and genuine care for others.
Sharon was a faithful member of Heritage International Christian Church, where her love for the Lord shone brightly. Above all else, she loved her children and grandchildren deeply and took great joy in supporting her grandchildren-whether cheering them on at sporting events or donating to their many fundraisers. Her greatest passion other than her shoes, was sharing the word of God and witnessing to anyone in need of encouragement and hope.
Those who knew Sharon will remember her unwavering faith in the Lord, her kindness, and her reassuring favorite saying: "God's got this!" Her legacy of faith, love, and service will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
A visitation will be held on Saturday April 25th, 2026 from 2PM-4PM at Ferguson Funeral Home 202 East Main Street
