Barbara Stack-Cuadra Obituary

Barbara Stack-Cuadra
June 28, 1933 - August 23, 2022
Barbara died peacefully in her Daly City home on Tuesday, August 23rd. She was the only child of William and Vera Hargrove of San Francisco. Barbara attended St. Cecilia Grammar School and graduated from Notre Dame High School.
She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Fernando "Tony" Cuadra and her three children; John Joseph Stack (Dolores, deceased), William Clinton Stack, and Laurie Ann Clark (partner Jon Cosner) and her previous son-in-law, Steve Clark. She also leaves behind Tony's children; Arlene, Sharon and Debbie Cuadra (partner Chris McHale), Arlene's children Raquel and Adam, and Tony's sister, Delia (Dennis) Childs. She relished her most important role of grandmother to Sean (Christina) Stack, Bobby (Cynthia) Stack, Ryan Stack and James Clark (partner Xochitl) and Natalie Clark, and was great-grandma to Logan, Kamryn, Kayden and Liam Stack, all of whom called her Grandma Barbie.
She retired as a Pension Analyst from the San Francisco-based Pacific Coast Shipyard Trust Fund and committed most of her free time to the care of her son Billy, who has been a resident of Laguna Honda Hospital in San Francisco for the last 44 years, after he was injured in a motorcycle accident. She was grateful to all of the staff at Laguna Honda who provided excellent care to Billy.
She cherished her family more than anything and loved her dogs, Charlie, Sammy and Lola. She will never be forgotten and will always live on in our hearts.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday September 9th at 10:00am at Our Lady of Mercy, 1 Elmwood Drive in Daly City. She will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.

Dear Tony, John, Billy, Laurie and family,

I am so sorry for the loss of our Barbara...wife, mom and my dear friend. To have had Barbara in my life for over 50 years was one of God´s blessings. We laughed, we cried and we shared joys, sadnesses and true heartbreaks. She was a beacon of light in my life for me and I will truly miss our many dinners/phone calls/cards spanning over so many years.
Barbara loved all of you so much, and her grands brought immense happiness to her. My heart is heavy but relieved her suffering was minimal at the end. God surely enveloped our wonderful girl, along with the angels and saints, and welcomed her home. Barbara´s true faith carried her through life right up to the end and to her final reward.
I will forever miss you, my friend, but your memory and love will live with me always.

I Love You,

Our sincere condolences to the Stack Family and to her husband, Tony. Barbara was a wonderful and caring mother who took it upon herself to help Billy wherever and whenever she was needed. She was his strongest advocate. She is now with the angels talking to God on how he can best help her family. Always strong, she continues the fight from the best vantage point. God Bless and R.I.P.

Johnny,Laurie and Billy.
So sad to hear of your Mom´s passing. Growing up, we hung out a lot at Stack´s house and Mrs. Stack always welcomed us, as if we were family. Even though she was married to Tony for 35 years, she will always be Mrs. Stack to me. You will definitely be missed by your kids and grandkids and your husband, but also by all of your kids friends. You touched all of our hearts. You´ll all be in my thoughts and prayers, God bless you all.
