Jack D'Angelo Obituary

Jack Epifanio D'Angelo
02/22/1943 - 03/08/2026
Jack Epifanio D'Angelo passed away on March 8, 2026. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Beverly.
Jack was the devoted father of Joan (John) Mulkerrins, Lynda D'Angelo, and Jack (Katie) D'Angelo; and the proud "Nonno" of Megan and Michael Mulkerrins, and Brooke and Jack D'Angelo IV. He was the son of the late Doris and Jack D'Angelo; brother of Jacklyn D'Angelo Hanratty (Jim); brother-in-law of Elaine McCarthy; and uncle to Jim Hanratty, Christine Rimer, Michelle McCarthy.
Jack attended St. Brigid School, St. Ignatius College Preparatory, and the University of San Francisco.
Jack's dedication to education and to the youth of San Francisco extended well beyond the classroom and onto the sports fields. Known to many as Coach D'Angelo, he loved soccer, baseball, and softball, and took great pride in guiding young athletes-teaching leadership, discipline, and sportsmanship along the way.
Blessed with the gift of gab, Jack brought laughter to everyone who knew him. He delighted in sharing stories-often ones that could go on for days-and had a natural way of bringing people together. A true "jack of all trades," he approached life with curiosity, humor, and a willingness to lend a hand whenever it was needed.
His greatest joy, however, was time spent with his grandchildren-cheering them on from countless sidelines and courtsides. As their Nonno, he will forever remain their greatest champion.
Jack's life reflected the enduring values of his Italian heritage: family, faith, hard work, and community. His memory will live on in the traditions he cherished and in the generations of family and friends who will carry his spirit forward.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, March 15, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Avenue, Daly City, with the Rosary Vigil beginning at 6:00 pm. A Funeral Mass celebrating Jack's life will be held on Monday, March 16 at 10:00 am at St. Stephen Church, 451 Eucalyptus Drive, San Francisco. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bishop O'Dowd High School: Campus Ministry Program, 9500 Stearns Ave, Oakland, CA; St. Ignatius College Preparatory, 2001 37th Ave, San Francisco, CA; or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Joan; Lynda; and Jack,

Thoughts and Prayers go out to you and your family on the loss of your dad.

I always enjoyed talking to him when I was at my mom's.

Both your mom and dad were always very good to my parents.
