My name is Jennifer Wyatt. Julie and I worked together at the store located on Southfield and Thirteen Mile in what is now Beverly Hills Michigan. When I started working at that store, it was the Birmingham store. Julie really helped me through those beginning months at what came to be known as store #14. Julie was very bright, creative and had a wonderful sense of humor. Julie made it a point to be supportive to new people who got hired just before Christmas. I was one of those people. Julie knew the book world like the back of her hand. She shared with me some excellent fantasy and science fiction titles. Julie and I would frequently have our lunch breaks at Tavern on 13 Mile. Julie was a caring person who extend herself to help others in need. I miss her and the Borders working experience very much. God bless you, Julie. Rest in peace. Jennifer Wyatt

Julie and I worked together at Borders books for many years. We shared a deep love for literature of all kinds. I could count on Julie for excellent book recommendations from the Science Fiction and Fantasy section at Borders. Julie was a caring soul with a caring sense of humor. I cannot count the number of times that we would have lunch down at the Tavern on 13. Julie introduced me to the works of Mercedes Lackey and to the songs of Loreena McKennitt. We shared our love of books and soon after our love of God. I will always remember Julie's tattoos. I was especially impressed by her dragon tattoo. The last time I talked to Julie, was after a close mutual friend of ours, Elaine Morse, passed away. I am sorry that we did not keep up the communication as I would have liked. She was a good friend. I shall miss her dearly. Rest in peace friend. You will be missed. Love, Jennifer Wyatt

I forgot to add in previous post that Julie and I were great friends outside of Borders. We were often in one another's homes and dined out. I'll never forget how we sobbed together during the film The Lion King. She was a sensitive soul...

Deep condolences to Julie's family. We worked at Borders together back in the early 1990s. I recall great conversations and much laughter! We had so much fun. So sad that Julie is gone. Gaye
