I rented cars to Susie for years at the Avis Car rental when she would come in from Paris. I always enjoyed showing her how to operate each car since she didn´t drive while in Paris. Inlays picked her up at her condo near the Fraze Pavillion. She always brought me some sort of gift from Paris. I had no idea she did so many huge things and knew so many famous people. She was so down to earth and sweet as can be. I was just researching her father and speaking with a friend in Antwerpen, Belgium and he brought up Paris and it made me think of Susie. I am so sad to hear of her passing. My heart goes out to her family. I have nothing but lovely memories of Susie. I was blessed to have known her for the years I was privileged to provide transportation to her while she was home in Kettering, Ohio.

My dear Suzy. What a good friend you were over the past 40+ years. It was so much fun covering fashion collections with you back in the day. How I will miss crossing the Champs de Mars to join you for a glass of Sancerre at the corner bistro or for a bite to eat at Thoumieux or the Fontaine de Mars, your favorite neighborhood restaurants. I shall miss your wry sense of humor... And yes, dear, I agree...wine is considered fruit...an important part of the food pyramid. My only regret is that we were never able to pop the cork on that last bottle of Lacroix Champagne Rose I bought for your birthday. Thank you for your kindness, for all of the restaurants you introduced me to and especially for that amazing job referral you made as you passed along your job at AP to me! But most of all...thank you for your invaluable friendship. I will miss you.

Suzanne was an amazing person who lived a full life. She was SO much fun to talk to and hear of her adventures (which she always downplayed). She was as kind as she was fun! I will miss you friend. Hopefully you are eating some heavenly food and gathering adventures to write about. Save me a place at the table.
