My sister Veda was a phenomenal women to the highest level. I will miss her so much. We talked daily on phone covering so many events in life, family and friends. She was a warrior very strong in character, loving giving heart, devoted mother, grandmother, great grand mother and great great grandmother. She lived her life to the fullest involved as activist at early age, fighting for causes in civil rights and voting rights act. Her presents was always recognized where ever she stood. Her legacy will live on in memories of her children, family and friends.

Veda was an amazing woman not just because she was a activist from birth but she was kind, loving and full of passion for her people. She once called me and told me I needed to run for office in Washington DC and I believed that she believed I could win. I met her as a child and continued to revere her as an adult because she was always fighting the good fight. I will miss her deeply because there aren't many like her anymore and we need to make sure her spirit lives on in all of us. Rest In Power Beautiful Sweet Queen. Love Yo-Yo(Yolanda)

I will truly miss Ms. Renshaw, and her God given gift to enlighten one, when in her presence! For several years before I put the face with the voice, as Chairman of the Northwest Priority Board (NWPB) since 2005, she would call me about everything, from street resurfacing, trash, motorcycle noise, and other neighborhood issues! But I believe her favorite was, getting behind those African Americans, running for elected offices! Supporting our minorities, was truly her forte! May God continue to bless and keep her souls, as well as her family!
