Vernier, Sr., James Richard

James Richard Vernier Sr., 97, of Lebanon, OH, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Lebanon Otterbein. Born on October 1. 1925 in El Paso, TX to William Joseph and Ada Elizabeth (nee: McQuillen) Vernier. James was a combat WWII Navy veteran. He was a dedicated family man who loved to travel and was a committed runner, golfer and biker who had numerous other active interests and hobbies.

Preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Rose Vernier and one daughter, Nancy J. Freeze, he is survived by his son James R. (Elizabeth Fithen) Vernier of Williamsburg, OH, daughters, Lois (Robert) Freeze of Huber Heights, OH and Carolyn (David) Mongold of Xenia, OH, his son-in-law, Mark Freeze of Beavercreek, OH, one brother, David Vernier, one sister, Janet White, seven grandchildren, and eight great -grandchildren.

Services to be held at the convenience of the family.

Jim was a good friend of mine we played golf together many many times but when Jim moved to Lebanon Ohio I lost contact with him.
I have very fond memories of Jim and I and our other golfing partners on the golf course I'm very sad to hear Jim's passing my heart goes out to the family.
I would like to attend the service whenever please notify me.
