Frederick Fleischauer Obituary
Frederick Ralph Fleischauer, born November 1, 1949, passed away on October 6, 2023 at the age of 73. Fred was a long-time hairdresser based in Dayton, Ohio for most of his life, interrupted by a period in Las Vegas as personal hairdresser to singer Phyllis McGuire and the McGuire Sisters. Most recently, he worked at a variety of assisted living homes northeast of Atlanta. He was predeceased by his parents, Frederick Herbert Fleischauer and Charlotte Cloppert Fleischauer, and by his sister Connie. He is survived by his husband, Steven D. Miller of Johns Creek, Georgia. No services are planned.

I first met Fred during a visit to singer Phyllis McGuire's Las Vegas home...from that visit I became good friends with Fred and Steve. I will miss Fred and all our wonderful conversations. We shared many laughs, which was always good for the soul! Rest in peace, my friend!

My mom always spoke so highly of Fred. He was her hairdresser when he lived in Dayton. I remember one day we were out doing errands and we stopped to see Fred at his home off of Far Hills. He even served us refreshments. My mom also knew the McGuire sisters, so they had lots to talk about. I am sorry for your loss.

I knew Fred as someone who I passed in the halls of CW daily. That year Fred always responded to my greetings with a hi or hello and a smile, he never ignored me . We met up again at our 10 year high school reunion. Always a gentleman an kind as I recall, easy on the eyes as well. He had such beautiful eyes. RIP Fred till we meet again.
