I’m so sorry for your loss. I have many memories of teaching second grade with Janet. One thing I learned from her is that recess is very important for little ones. In fact, Janet never minded bundling up to take them outside regardless of the temperature. Janet also loved movie Fridays. Back in the day we would order the 8mm science films months in advance. Of course, those films would inevitably break at least once during the showing but it wasn’t anything Janet couldn’t fix with some scotch tape. She also introduced me to the end of the year picnic on the bleachers. There was no field day but we took the kids to the football bleachers and had a picnic lunch. It was so simple and yet the biggest deal to a second grader. I hope these stories give you some comfort during this time of sadness.

Such wonderful memories of Janet - she was loving, kind, and had a wonderful sense of humor. So many holidays with a great meal and family games after - always with laughter and love. She was devoted to family and friends. I'll miss her so very much.
