A great person and a family man. He cared about excellence, but he always put people first. Bill always acted with patience and kindness towards his students.

Very few people in public schools know how to relate to people on multiple levels and make a difference.

For Bill he didn't know any other way.

Bill's family should be proud of all the accomplishments. By loving your neighbor as yourself.

God bless you Bill, you will be greatly missed.

As my first band teacher, he encouraged me to follow my love of music, which I did. As my volleyball coach in high school, he nurtured and guided us to learn team and discipline. I am sure I'm one of many who thank him for the impact he made on a growing adolescent. Many thoughts and prayers for family and friends, he will be missed.

Mr. Moulton, you were an absolutely wonderful music teacher and even as a softball coach filling in. Like An Eagle you are now. I hope you know how much Canaan appreciated you. Thank you for the amazing concerts, hard work and dedication to CMHS. Music/chorus class was my favorite. This is a wonderful picture of your warm smile. My condolences to your family.

I'd almost forgotten about his coaching Greenfield Girls Softball (with Dick Tracy, I believe). He inspired me with the Greenfield High School band and I'm proud to be a former Drum Majorette having learned marching band basics under his leadership. Largely because of Gary Maynard, Bill Moulton and Paul Calcari, I studied music therapy and Minored in Music at Anna Maria College.
Bill and Sonya, I spent more than a few hours at your home during our High School years and both your parents shared their hospitality. My thoughts are with you both. So many good memories.

On behalf of the Cape Coral Lions Club which he brought back from the ashes, thank you Lion Bill! You and Judy brought so much to all of us. I enjoyed traveling to meetings with you and working alongside you testing for diabetes. You were an inspiration to all Lions. We had a good time and you left a legacy.

Bill devoted a great deal of time and energy to the development of Jazz education for elementary-middle-and high school students throughout Vermont as a board member of the International Association for Jazz Education Vermont Chapter. He was heavily involved in the development of the statewide scholastic jazz festival which was first held at the Flynn Theater in Burlington Vt. in the late 1980s and continuing at various sites to this day. Bill was a devoted and knowledgeable colleague to work with.

Our efforts to reactivate the Cape Coral Lions Club to its former status. Bill and Judy were key in that effort and we greatly appreciated their efforts. Lion Sandy and I were shocked and surprised to find out about his passing.
