Barbara Ryan

Amherst, MA - Barbara Ryan, 83, died Monday 1/8/24 at the Center for Extended Care at Amherst. She was born in Gloucester, MA on October 12, 1940, the daughter of Anthony and Mildred Ellis. Barbara attended local schools in Gloucester.

Barbara was a beautiful soul and will be deeply missed. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and they will carry those memories with them forever. She took pride in being a personal care attendant. Barrbara enjoyed the ocean, crocheting, and was exceptional at sketching portraits and wedding gowns.

Among her survivors, Barbara leaves three brothers Thomas, Richard and Donald Davis. Her children, Kimberly Johnson and grandchildren, Thomas Senn of Northfield, Mass. Her children Elijah Johnson and his wife Lauren and their children Alexis and Colby of New Hampshire. Emma Breor and her husband Mark and their son Brayden of Northfield. Bruce Lewis and his wife Donna of North Carolina and their children Ryan, Bri, Molly, Ian and Hunter. Robert Mattson and his partner Elizabeth Mcshane and their child Eliza Swanger and her husband Dakota and their children Keia, Sawyer and Gideon.

A memorial service will be held at the United Church of Bernardston, 58 Church St. Bernardston, Mass on January 27, 2024, 1:00pm. After the service all are welcome back to Kimberly and Tom's home, 135 W. Northfield Rd. Northfield for food and remembrance of Barbara' life.
