Craig "CJ" John Lanzim

Plainfield, NH - Craig John Lanzim, better known to all as CJ, passed away unexpectedly at home in Plainfield on January 21, 2024, at the age of 41. He was born in Toms River, NJ and moved to Plainfield at a young age. He attended the Plainfield Elementary School and Lebanon High School with his beloved service dog, Desiree. Although he held various jobs, his time behind the front desk at the CCBA in Lebanon made him the happiest.

CJ was like a bit of starlight; beautiful, bright and rare. He had the heart of an angel and embodied the essence of kindness and friendship despite the many challenges life threw at him. CJ touched the lives of most everyone he met with his unwavering tolerance and acceptance. There were few places he went that he didn't run into someone he knew and who remembered him fondly.

CJ had a zest for life and enjoyed various hobbies. He loved fishing at his favorite spot on Goose Pond. Additionally, he was always ready to spend time with loved ones and friends at the bowling alley, but above all CJ loved and lived for power wheelchair soccer as a member of the Upper Valley Wheelers for more than 10 years. Practices and games were the highlight of his weeks. On the court he found the freedom and independence that eluded him in other parts of his life.

CJ will be forever remembered with deep love by his parents, Craig and Kathy Lanzim, his sisters Jessica and Rebecca, his brother-in-law Eric, and his niece Alva. They will cherish the memories they all have of the precious time with him that they were granted.
