Mary Lowrance Obituary

Mary Lou Lowrance, 76, passed from this life to eternal life in Heaven with her Lord and Savior on January 30, 2024, in Memphis, Tennessee.

The daughter of Furman and Lucille Harvey Seay, Mary Lou was born September 2, 1947, in Jackson, Tennessee. She and her sister, Barbara, lived all over the United States and in Germany as their father served in the Army. She was a graduate of Lambuth College in Jackson, Tennessee.

She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Christian David Lowrance. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 54 years, Howard David Lowrance, her children, Tara (Rob) Teutsch and Dave (Kelly) Lowrance, her 4 grandchildren, Trey Teutsch, Noah Lowrance, Rebecca Teutsch and Cooper Lowrance, and her sister, Barbara Seay.

Mary Lou loved her Savior and her family. She faithfully prayed for each of them, keeping journals of those prayers. She was always eager to help and care for them. Her main desire in life was for her children and grandchildren to know God's Word and to understand that God loves them, and He sent Jesus to redeem them from their sins. She continually pointed them to God's Word and encouraged them to know the Word of God for themselves.

Services will be held at Crossroads Baptist Church, Eads, Tennessee on Friday, February 2, 2024, with visitation at 2:00 p.m. followed by the service at 3:00 p.m. A private burial will be held later at Memorial Park Cemetery, Memphis, Tennessee.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Pioneer Missions Global, Jackson, Tennessee.

I have many great memories of Mrs. Lowrance, being with Tara and the family, and spending a lot of time in their home, at church and at school. The Lowrance house was always fun, filled with laughter, friendly teasing and jokes. I always felt welcome, always loved. I am thankful for Mrs. Lowrance and the kindness she gave to me. She will be missed, and I send my condolences to Tara, Dave and Mr. Lowrance and family.
