Rosemary Marceau

Westfield/Southampton, MA - Rosemary Diane (Dawson) Marceau, age 68, of Westfield and a former resident of Southampton, died on Saturday morning February 10,2024 at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield after a brief period of failing health.

Rosemary was born in Springfield on November 10,1955 and was the daughter of the late, Beverly Ann (LaPlante) Dawson and Woodrow Wilson Dawson. She was raised in Chicopee and was educated in the Chicopee public schools and graduated from Springfield Trade High School. She then graduated with an Associates Degree from Springfield Technical Community College.

Rose worked for many years as an Executive Secretary for the President's Office at the former Brightside for Children in West Springfield. She then worked for ten years for the City of West Springfield as the Records Keeper with the West Springfield Police Department.

She was a devoted Catholic and her religious faith was very important in her life. Rose loved reading, crossword puzzles, traveling, Hampton Beach vacations, doll collecting and she was truly devoted to her family and loved her cats and dogs.

Rosemary is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Stephen Paul Marceau of Westfield, devoted children, her daughter; Colleen M. Dawson and her husband John Labato, her son; Matthew S. Marceau and his wife Gina M. Marceau, her sister; Deborah A. Peters, her cherished grandchildren; Kerri, Christine, Shannon, Joshua, Hailey, along with her great grandchildren; Ayden, Mia, Brenden, Jeremy, Alyssa, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services for Rosemary will be held with Calling Hours from 3-6pm on Friday, February 16, 2024 at the Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 18 Adams Street in Easthampton. A Funeral Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 10am at the Our Lady of the Valley Parish, 33 Adams Street in Easthampton, followed with burial at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery in Easthampton.
