Mary - I wish you well at the holidays. I'm sure without Steve, it may not feel the same. But all of your friends here in Ohio are wishing you well. I wanted you to know that.

My condolences to his family.
I grew up listening to his shows, his commercials. He was a movie star to me. And out of no where I meet him in florida by knocking on doors for work. When I heard his voice, I smiled and said I know you from somewhere. Fist thing that came to mind was Him saying Hi ya gang Kirkie here. Well he's been an inspiration and wished I could have spent more time with my cha cha cha guy.
I'll see you again if the good lords willing.

There were many radio stations in Dayton but the most popular was WING and the most beloved personality was Kirkie. Everyone in these messages has written sentiments I would express too. In the end, it´s all about the person he was and he said it best with his last wishes to everyone. He lived that way. Thank you Steve. Miss you in my heart and all that you meant to those still remembering those golden years.

My husband and I had the honor of having Steve as a neighbor when he lived in Miamisburg (on top of the hill). Always a joy to talk to. He always gave us some of his spaghetti sauce, he had made from scratch the same day, We missed him when he moved to Florida. We were lucky enough to run into him a few times he came back to Miamisburg. One time was just several years ago at chumps, he was with Amy at the time. It was nice to meet you Amy. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. God Bless You All. Sincerely, Dan and Barb

So many wonderful memories of him. My youth years were spent living in the country and taking our transitor radio outside so we could hear everything going on. Job well done. R.I.P.

I was 10 years old in 1965 and after school
, Sat and Sundays, and summer vacations, my time
was spent with my transistor radio" glued" to my ear listening to Kirk'ee on W.I.N.G.
My sister and I were HUGE Beatle fans.

I can almost hear Kirkee's voice and
that silly laugh now, and also that jingle :~` You're listening to Kirkee on Wing Ra di o o.~~

Thank you Steve Kirk for being a part of my journey by making so many good memories for me to cherish.

Every morning on the way to school we howled with laughter at Walter the Poet. Thanks for all the fun years, and thanks for making it possible for this 15 y/o boy to see the Beatle at Cincinnati Gardens. My hearing has never been the same! Condolences to Steve's daughters.

What can I say about a man I only knew since I was 10 years old and worked with for four years on the air at WING? The man you heard on the air was his persona, but he was a much different person when the microphone was off...well...most of the time anyway. He was kind, he wasn't as much of "cheapo" as he portrayed on the air. I enjoyed sitting in the studio after getting off the air drinking coffee and eating donuts with him and letting him tell me the stories about meeting the Beatles (and losing money on booking them). He did have confidence in me, and encouraged and helped my career when I need it most. I can't ever forget him for that. Farewell, for now, my friend. I hear they may be hiring eventually on that higher frequency station you're moving to. Save me a spot, would you?

GREW UP WITH STEVE ON 1410 DAYTON DURING MY YOUNGER YEARS. MY OFFICE STAFF HAD HIM CALL ME WHEN HE WOULD MAKE MORNING PRANK CALLS AND GET THE RECIPTANT IN GAG CONVERSATION.

Steve was truly 'one of a kind.' He was funny both on and off the air and a always willing to help a worthy cause. May he rest in peace.
