Ruby Kasthuri Michael

1949 - 2024

Ruby Kasthuri Michael, a longtime resident of Memphis, Tennessee and daughter of late Reverend Noah John Ezekiel and Devasitham Ezekiel, was born on September 17, 1949, in Ambur, India. She was educated in India and majored in mathematics & philosophy and worked as a teacher. Ruby moved to the United States in 1976 to work and further her knowledge in teaching and medical coding. During her lifetime as a devout Christian, she always helped those in need. Her unwavering faith was a blessing to so many through her various acts of kindness and generosity. Ruby had the most cheerful smile and personality and lived life to the fullest. She was a loving mother, wife, aunt, grandmother and friend. She loved her family deeply and was loved by so many in return. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Ruby was the daughter-in-law of the late Jeff & Pansy Michael and is survived by her devoted husband, Dr. Ronald Christopher Michael of 44 years and loving sons Andrew John and Mark Allen, late brother, Dr. Walter John Ezekiel ( late Dr. Joan Ezekiel) and survived by her siblings, Victoria Moses (Windsor Moses), Emerald Ezekiel, Lou Giles ( Dr. Thomas Giles) Livingston Ezekiel ( Jessica Exekiel) and Christopher Ezekiel (Dr. Kalavalli Ezekiel), brother in law, Dr. Stanley Michael( Susan Michael) and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation at 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on March 8, 2024, at Canale Funeral Directors, 2700 Union Ave Extended. Visitation at 9:00 a.m. on March 9, 2024, at Resurrection Catholic Church, 5475 Newberry Ave, will be followed by Mass at 10:00 a.m., burial at Calvary Cemetery, 1663 Elvis Presley Blvd in Memphis, TN.
