I lived a few miles away from Tucker little league from 1995 to 2007 . I didn't have kids playing there so I had no affiliation to the Park. I just came by to watch a few good football games. I don't think I ever came to the Park and he wasn't there. He would get so excited that at times I was just watching him. The kids seemed to Love him and so did the coaches. I never knew his story but I was a friend from a far. I still think about Him and I will for the rest of my life . Rest Well My friend , You Deserve it.

Bud, Baby I love you, RIP I havent seen you in 15 years last time was at Flannigans, he asked me how my Pops was and my family was doing, always a cool dude, Everyone needs a friend like Bud, and has an awesome story with Bud. Bud was a legend / the man / the myth in our eyes, and we got to see it and share the sidelines with him and baseball fields in real time, never forgotten, my brother. We never lossed or got scored upon in 2 years as a Tucker Lion in the mid 90's, and Bud was there helping out anyway he can, and thats what counts. Yep, some of the players went on to become super bowl champs, Bud was there in the early years of training to help them. What a dude. I just heard the news and heart broken.

I first met Bud in 1999 when I started my community coaching career at Tucker. In 2014 I moved on to another career path. I can say without a doubt those years meant more to Bonnie and I than I can express. I look back with great fondness of the times I spent with Bud from the sidelines to him in the back of the truck with Robbie in the front on road trips. I think of all the Tucker players and people that have gone on to greatness and meaningful lives and combined they don't come close to what Bud and his sprit has meant to the Tucker community. Bud your presence will be missed but not your memory.

I moved to Tucker in 1980 and met Bud as my son started playing sports in Tucker. Every time we crossed paths, he would greet me by name and ask about Kevin. His genuine allegiance to Tucker High energized the fan base and the fire in the athletes at the time then, and ensured a commitment to the Tigers for a lifetimes.
Rest in God´s peace, Bud. Our prayers continue for his Family.

As a visiting school and even when Tucker was visiting Bud was there. I was always very pleasantly greeted. Doing the homebook - Stats at the table allowed me to meet many. It was always a pleasure to come to Tucker and see him at his best he enjoyed his very significant role he assisted Coach Harty and the Tucker Tigers in style. I got to work with him many years in a compacity that we never think of and creature who from another school would. Always very grateful of a person student and watching him grow up to a man still giving in a way to others. God bless his family brother/ sisters. Thank you for sharing with us.
Kindly,
Ms.el-Shabazz
