Virginia Seymour Obituary

Virginia Ceriello Seymour

Concord, NH - Virginia Ceriello Seymour passed away peacefully at Concord Hospital, on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at the age of 95.

Raised and educated in Concord, she graduated from St John's School in 1946. She earned her bachelor's degree from Mount Saint Mary College and continued her studies throughout her life. A life-long educator, Virginia taught everything except boys' gyms, but languages were her passion- Latin and French were her specialties. She taught in many local schools including NHTI, Parker Academy, and Bishop Brady High School, where she chaired the world languages department.

She is survived by her children Margaret Seymour Asselin; Christian Seymour; Ralph Jenks Seymour and his wife Leslie; Geoffrey Jenks Seymour; John Jenks Seymour and his wife Joyleen; and Jill Seymour Pinard and her husband Andrew. She also leaves grandchildren, and a great grandson, as well as many nieces and nephews. Virginia was predeceased by her husband of 69 years and the love of her life, Ross Jenks Seymour; her son, Michael Jenks Seymour; her son-in-law, Robert A. Asselin; her brother, Michael Ceriello; and her sisters Anne Ceriello Fye and Antonette (Toni) Ceriello Howe.

Calling hours will be on Thursday (3/14) from 4 to 6 pm at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main Street, Concord.

I am so so sorry to learn of Virginia's passing. I purchased the beautiful family home from her on Church Street back in '97. Such a beautiful person who loved her family. With the deepest of condolences.

Mrs. Seymour was a great, classy lady and an excellent teacher. We worked together at Bishop Brady many years ago. I always enjoyed the challenge of trying to make her laugh. Many fond memories of laughing with her in the faculty lounge. Virginia was responsible for getting me and many other teachers involved in the Concord Community. I thank her for that. My sincere condolences to her family.
