My name is Jeffrey Leistyna. I saw Martha after my brother died and I drove to her house in Conway to give her son Justus a photo of my late brother Pepi. Mrs Conant and I had a nice chat and she told me she was moving east to be closer to her youngest daughter . When talking to Mrs Conant one recognized that they were in the presence of a very fine woman. I am sad today after learning that her son Justus has passed away. He loved his mother very much.

Martha was a great principal. I attended Sanderson in the early 70's. She taught me a life lesson "treat people the way you want to be treated" I'll never forget that. My condolences to the family, she will be missed.

I was very sorry to read about Martha's passing and would like to extend my deepest sympathy to her family. You are in my thoughts and prayers. In 1973 when Martha was the Principal of Sanderson Academy, she hired me right out of college for a teaching position. She was a great woman, principal and most of all a very caring person. I have so many fond memories of her. She often came to my family's farm in Hatfield for strawberries and potatoes and she and John attended my wedding. I hope Martha's family and friends find peace and comfort in their loving memories. God's Blessings.

One of my favorite memories of our families growing up together was after-church breakfast at the Conant´s, including mountains of pancakes. And that huge house to explore!

I was just thinking of Martha the other day. We missed her presence here in Conway these last few years. Now she will be missed even more. What an amazing woman. I am glad I got to know her.

I have held many thoughts of "Martha" throughout the years, hearing that she was living near her daughter near Worcester some time ago.
She was a true leader of great character and goodness. She demanded and expected only respectable and kind behavior from the students at Sanderson where I taught from 1975-1980. (The landscape of schools today is unrecognizable.).
Martha, gave by example, how to live and to do it with a smile.
May God Bless her and welcome her to heaven.
