Bradley Fulk Obituary

Bradley Fulk

Hanover, NH - Bradley James Fulk died on March 18, 2024, following a sudden cardiac event. Born on August 13, 1954 to Lawrence and Margaret Fulk. He grew up in San Antonio, Texas and had fond memories of living a freewheeling life as a boy.

Some of his earliest jobs were cooking in restaurant kitchens, and he especially enjoyed visiting the markets in early morning to find the best produce and fish. He rose to manager, including one restaurant that served over 1,000 guests a day. While he always cited restaurant work as his favorite, his restless spirit took him to other jobs, including an oil rig in Louisiana. In his late forties he returned to San Antonio to take care of his father following a debilitating stroke.

In his fifties, Brad moved to the Upper Valley. From 1917-2012, he volunteered at the Haven. When there was a problem, the immediate response was, "Where's BRAD?" Later he put his care-giving skills and natural empathy to work as a professional health aide to a number of individuals and families. In 2009 he met his long-time companion, Jane McCarthy. Together they traveled the globe to China, Europe, and Central America, where they stayed for several months. Their garden became a joint project, and they spent many happy hours visiting flea markets, auctions, and yard sales in their shared delight over a good bargain. They also shared a love of art and a fine sense of whimsy. In addition to Jane, Brad is survived by his brother and sister-in law, Jeffrey and Gwen Fulk of Vero Beach, Florida, and his niece Sarah Hagar of Las Vegas, Nevada. Jane and many others who knew and cherished Brad will miss him very much. A memorial celebration will be announced in the coming months.
