Brett Magdalensky Obituary
Florence, MA - Brett L. Magdalensky, 64, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, April 11th, at Cooley Dickinson Hospital after fighting a very courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Northampton on October 13, 1959, to the late Stanley Magdalensky and Nola (DeLisle) Jillson.
He was educated in Northampton schools and was a graduate of Smith Vocational High School, class of 1979. Brett previously worked for Coca-Cola, and for Winer/Honor Foods as a truck driver for 32 years.
Brett was knowledgeable in many things and a lifelong learner who enjoyed sharing his knowledge. Everything from automotive restoration & repair to weather observation. You could ask him anything about any previous storms and he would tell you all about it. He enjoyed the outdoors, from snowmobiling, biking, hiking, and tending to the beautiful gardens, which he always told his wife Joanne that the beautiful flowers were all for her. But, most of all, Brett loved his family above everything. He truly appreciated how family and friends were always checking in on him these past nine months. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Joanne (Thibault) Magdalensky, his three sons, William and Peter of Florence, Bryan and his fiancé, Nicole DeGray of E. Longmeadow, his siblings, Deb Carson, Steve and Corey Magdalensky, Lana Gillman, Wesley and Crysti Jillson, his brothers-in-law, Daniel and Joseph Thibault, and several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 5-7 PM at the DROZDAL FUNERAL HOME OF NORTHAMPTON. Funeral will be Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 9-10AM in the Funeral Home, with a service to begin at 10 AM. Burial will be private and at a later date.

I´ll always remember Brett as a hard worker at the former Coca Cola company. He always had a great attitude and was so much fun to work with. He always told me how much he loved his wife Joanne and I´m sure he´ll be missed by all that knew him and loved him. RIP Brett.
