Michael was my roommate in Charlie Co 2-22 INF. He was one hell of a guy. He was so respected, caring, and just and an amazing soldier. It's been nearly 20 years. Not a day goes by Esposito I don't think of you. You are thought of and missed by many.

I could never say enough good things about Michael. My husband and I got to meet him when he was stationed in Ft. Hood, Texas. He was a very good friend to my daughter. He was just truly kind, good and special. Michael just stood out from all the other young folks. I remember my husband telling me that someone had done a fine job raising that young man. He was just a joy to be around. I think all of us that knew him will for sure never forget him. I also know that he will be one of the first people to greet us when we reach heaven. I want to thank Mr. and Mrs. Esposito for the joy of their son. He was a bright light to us!!!

Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Esposito Family know that we recently sent Care Packages to American troops in the war zones. Each box carried a dedication sheet that includes the name, service information and a photo of your loved one. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of Mike. He really is a hero and an angel. Even though we weren't as close as we once were, I miss him. He was always good for a laugh or to just be there if you needed him. Mr and Mrs Eposito, I think of you often and I hope you are doing well. Mike touched everyone he met in different ways. I truely feel like he is my gaurdian angel and that is what helps me get through tough times in my life.

I don't pretend to know what to say or do that would bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON (KIA on 07/06/07) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.
REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

Dear Mr.and Mrs. Esposito,
My husband and I knew Mike at Ft.Hood and here at Ft.Drum. I just found this site and wanted to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. We him saw the day before he deployed, my husband was deploying to Iraq a week later and when they got back he was suppose to come over. I cried when I heard his name here on the news and my husband took it hard when I told him. My husband is now in Afghanistan and I know that Mike is watching over him, he was great guy and an even better soldier. We are proud to say we knew him. My deepest sympathies on your loss.

I miss Michael very much. I grew up with him, I baby sat him, I laughed and fought with him. He grew into a fun, respectful, honorable, terrific guy. Words cannot describe my own individual sense of loss. I concur with my brother John--He is a hero in every sense of the word. I will miss him always.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Esposito,
I am representing Vietnam Veterans of America, Suffolk Chapter 11. I was with you at the Gold Star Family Breakfast recently. Unfortunately, I was unable to speak to you at that time.
On Monday, May 31 at 5 pm we will be having our Chapter's "Reading of the Names", which are the 258 men who were killed in Vietnam from Suffolk County. This is held at the Vietnam Monument on County Rd. 83 in Farmingville. We also have a list of "Requested Remembrances", of additional names of those whose family and friends want them remembered. I want you to know that I will be adding Michael's name to that list (I run this event.) Once on that list it will always be read.
If we speak of those lost and always remember them, they will be kept alive in our hearts. Thank you for your son's service.
