Henry Francis Tutt

Weathersfield, VT - Henry Francis Tutt, aged 82, of Weathersfield, VT, was called to eternal rest on May 10, 2024, in Lebanon, NH.

Born on October 21, 1941, in Meredith, NH, Henry was a product of Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, NH, and he rendered honorable service to the United States Navy as a submariner from 1959 until 1967.

In his professional endeavors, Henry was a respected businessman, having co-founded Valley Carpet & Tile in Springfield, VT. His craftsmanship in custom flooring and tile installation was unparalleled, and his zeal for motorsports was evident as the respected Owner and Driver of the #55 Stock Car.

The loss of Henry will be profoundly felt by his beloved spouse, Cheryl Card Tutt, his sons Michael John Tutt (Freda Tutt) and Christopher Alan Tutt (Julie Tutt), his sister Shirleen French, his cherished grandchildren; Jordan Tutt, Savannah Tutt, Christopher Tutt Jr, & Jon Passaretti, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his father Delmar Tutt, his mother Shirley Anderson, his brother Robert Tutt, and his sister Roberta Simmons.

A man of varied interests, Henry relished in the thrill of Nascar, the taste of fine craft beers, and the joy of country line dancing. His faith was an integral part of his life as a member of the Ascutney Union Church in Ascutney, VT.

A memorial service to celebrate the life and honor the memory of Henry Francis Tutt will be held on a date to be announced. His unwavering commitment to his family, his tenacious spirit, and his lifelong passions have left an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy is one of love, perseverance, and the enduring strength of the human spirit.

Dearest Cheryl,Was so saddened to receive invitation to a Celebration of Life to honor Henry. I´ll do my very best to be there to pay tribute
to a man you brought into our lives over sixty years ago and with whom we shared so many
wonderful times with. I´m so happy we shared dinner with the both of you on your return trip from New London and the dedication of a new submarine. He was so proud and decked out in his vest that
displayed his love and service
to his country with the Navy and time spent on his submarine that prompted others in the restaurant to thank him for his service. He reveled that night in describing
the sign he made to place in the sub directing them to his favorite brewery The Harpoon
in Windsor VT. We promised our next get together would indeed be at The Harpoon but sadly could never had imagined it would be to celebrate his life. Come hell or high water I´ll be there! Jim is now in a nursing home but was so saddened to hear of his passing. We shared so many fun times and we have the pictures of the four of us in the Photo Booth at our last class reunion for Greenfield in 2022!
Remember us as loving you, Cheryl and the man you brought into our lives. Michael and Christopher, we haven´t seen you since you were toddlers but we offer you our sincere condolences on the loss of your father, a great man.
