He was born on June 23,1958 in Memphis, TN to Richard M. Williams, Jr. and Betty H. Williams. He grew up in Memphis and graduated from White Station High School, where he was a member of the football and wrestling teams. Following high school, he attended the University of Tennessee and graduated from Lambuth College. While at Lambuth he became a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and met many lifelong friends there. After college he worked as a salesman for National Cash Register (NCR) where he received many outstanding salesman awards. He attended Highland Heights Presbyterian Church in Lakeland, TN. His hobbies included fishing, trivia, following University of Tennessee Athletics, and regular poker games with high school friends. Always tender-hearted, he had a great love for animals. He was also eager to help out or join in family fun, particularly enjoying activities with his niece and nephews such as fireworks, trivia and even taking them to concerts. He was a good friend to all who knew him and had a kind and generous heart.
