White River Jct., VT - Lorraine A. Prior, 74, died Monday, July 15, 2024, at Lebanon Center Genesis in Lebanon, NH with her family by her side.

Lorraine was born February 1, 1950, in Sherburne, VT, a daughter of William and Dorothy (Severance) Prior. She graduated from the Ottauquechee School in June 1967, and began working at Papa Gino's in West Lebanon, NH. Her children have many fond memories growing up around the restaurant and having pizza picnics out front of the shop. Lorraine then started her career at Brookside Nursing Home in White River Junction where she developed a passion for ironing, and thereafter, wherever she would go she would have the sharpest, well-pressed clothing. In 2012 Lorriane retired from the nursing home, but continued to pick up shifts at the Westboro House in West Lebanon to keep busy. She also volunteered at Valley Terrace in Wilder. She took great joy in helping out and making friends with the residents. She continued to volunteer until 2020 when volunteer positions were suspended due to the Covid 19 pandemic.

Lorraine loved BINGO, playing cards with family, going to yard sales, and ironing. There are many great memories of her and her siblings sharing the tradition of Secret Santa. In her recent years she began a nightly tradition of popcorn and game shows.

Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, her lifelong partner Bob Brown, sister Frances Prior, and brother Will Prior. She is survived by sister Donna Burnham of Plainfield, NH, brother Gary Prior of Concord, NH, sister Sherry Prior of Windsor, VT, sister Sandy Henry of West Lebanon, NH and sister Erlene Fogg of White River Jct., VT. Her son Mark Prior (Joy Prior) of Hartland, VT and their son Kyle Prior and stepdaughter Alauna Boyer. Her daughter Lori Prior of Lebanon, NH. She also has 12 nieces/nephews.
