MIHALY, THOMAS EDWARD

Thomas Edward Mihaly, 77, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024. He was born on January 4, 1946, in Springfield, Ohio, the son of John Mihaly and Mildred (Kiger) Mihaly. Thomas was an esteemed veteran serving for several years in the United States Air Force. His patriotism and love of his country was evident in his answering the call of duty. After his time in the military, Thomas worked in various factories forging many friends and relationships along the way. In his free time, you could always find Thomas watching professional football, and he was also a devoted Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Thomas will be missed by all who knew him. Thomas leaves behind his sister Carol Johnson, sisters-in-law Betty Mihaly Rockwell and Shela Mihaly, along with several nieces and nephews. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife Audrey (Worthington) Mihaly, his parents, along with his siblings Bill, Ted, and Jim Mihaly. A private ceremony will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Matt Rowe officiating. Thomas' family would like to extend a special thank you to Oakwood Assisted Living and their skilled nursing care unit, as well as Cherish Hospice for all of their wonderful care and attentiveness.
