Pearlie Garrison Obituary
She confessed and accepted Christ at an early age at St. Mark MB Church under the leadership of Rev. Payne. After reinstating her membership in 1994, she was a faithful member and became a church Mother under the leadership of Pastor Odum.
In 1970 she was united in marriage to George H. Garrison and together they raised three children, Ricky McLemore, Bonito Garrison, and LaQuita Hunt.
She worked as a ramp agent for FedEx for a decade and enjoyed it until she was injured on the job. She then began to provide loving in-home childcare to many children over a 20-year span. Helping to care for all of the children she did was her greatest love! She was the kindest and most gentle soul who was always ready to give and to share her love and joy with everyone she came in contact with. She was also an avid Dallas Cowboys and Memphis Grizzlies fan!
Mother Pearlie departed this life on October 9, 2024 peacefully while resting. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Ruth Ann Pearson.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, two sons, Ricky McLemore and Bonito Garrison; one daughter, LaQuita (Al) Hunt all of Memphis, TN; one brother, Daniel McLemore (Pat) of Piperton, TN; five grandchildren, Christopher Garrison, Tyler Smothers, MarQuita McLemore, Chiquita Burse & Nasheika Burse; two great granddaughters, Rozie and Azalea Garrison; five loving sisters-in-law, Lizzie Jenkins, Beulah Hines, Nola Garrison, Dorothy Garrison, and Patricia McLemore; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing Friday, October 18, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at St. Mark M.B. Church, 363 Sycamore St., Collierville, TN 38017. Funeral service Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 12:00 pm at St. Mark M.B. Church. Interment immediately following in Church cemetery, 360 Keough Rd., Collierville, TN. Pastor LaDaryl Odom, officiating.
