Dewayne Franklin Obituary

Dewayne Franklin was born on June 22, 1962, to William H. and Myrtle L. Franklin in Memphis TN. Dewayne excepted Christ at an early age, was baptized, and became a member of Golden Leaf MB Church. He graduated from Craigmont High School in Memphis, TN and upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country with honor. After discharge from the United States Army, Dewayne began his entrepreneurial career at Franklin Heating Air & Ventilation where he worked until his death. Dewayne enjoyed spending time with his children, outdoor adventures and visiting lifelong friends. He also had an interest in vintage cars. HEAVEN BOUND On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 5:00 pm God in his infinite wisdom transitioned Dewayne from his earthly dwelling to rest in eternal peace. Dewayne will join those preceding him in death, (father) William H. Franklin Sr. (brother) Gerald F. Franklin and (mother) Myrtle L. Franklin. He leaves to treasure his memory Jeremy Dewayne Franklin of Memphis, Tn, Ekisha Sade Franklin of Denver, Colorado, Canieya Nicole Frankin of Memphis, Tn, two sisters, Carlette Dean (Terrell), Felicia Freeman and one brother William Franklin Jr. (Vernita), 7 Grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared. Dewayne will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him; he will be remembered for his kind heart, personality and adventurous spirit. Though he is gone, his spirit will forever live on in our hearts. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Serenity Funeral Home, Tel (901)379-0861.
