Barnanrd, VT - Joyce C. Edmunds, 89, of Barnard, died Saturday morning, October 19, 2024 at her home.

Joyce was born in Barnard; the daughter of Raleigh and Marjorie Campbell and was a lifetime Barnard resident. Joyce attended Creek School and graduated from Woodstock High School. In 1954 she married William "Bill' Edmunds, Jr in Bethel, VT.

Her hobbies include watching her children's sporting events, cooking, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, camping, gardening, Sugar House Swingers Square Dancing, Maple sugaring, Barnard Mother's Club, and traveling with good friends, Jim and Bev Lewis.

She is survived by her children, Sherry Doton and her husband Paul, Theresa Campbell and her husband Charles, Heidi Edmunds and her boyfriend Daniel, Robert Edmunds and his wife Marjorie, and Dean Edmunds and his wife Cara all of Barnard, VT. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Jenny Darling, Christopher Campbell, Eliza Doton Cichonski, Bryan Doton, Lindsay Edmunds Maddock, Ashly Edmunds, Baiah Edmunds, William Edmunds, Aoife Edmunds, and Ruari Edmunds; and nine great grandchildren, Stephen Darling, Morgan Darling, Rebecca Campbell, Jack Campbell, Trevor Doton, Rowan Luke Doton, Brynlee Doton, Tieghan Cichonski, and Henry Maddock. along with her sister Beth Rushton of Chester, VT and Brother Neal Campbell of Barnard, VT Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Bill; son, Karl Edmunds; brother, Allen Campbell; sister, Shirley Garafano; and her parents Raleigh and Marjorie Campbell.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 2nd at 10 am in the North Road Methodist Cemetery in Barnard with Pastor Thomas Harty officiating. A reception to follow at the Barnard Elementary School. Contributions in her memory can be made to Barnard Volunteer Fire Department and First Response: PO Box 146 – Barnard, VT 05031. Arrangements are by the Day Funeral Home in Randolph.
