Gloria M. Lawson

Port Charlotte, FL - Gloria M. Lawson, 99, formerly of Orange passed away peacefully in the hospital on October 13, 2024, in Florida where she has lived with her son Peter for the last 5 years. She was born on October 4, 1925 to Gunnar and Alfina (Ferrari) Thoren, in Orange where they all resided with her grandparents Walfred and Christina Thoren. Gloria was a lifelong member of Bethany Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir and participated in many church fairs and meatball suppers. She graduated in 1943 from Orange High School. Her work history included the Minute Tapioca which started as an after-school job and continued until her marriage in 1948, Dexter Park School and Orange District Court for twenty years until her retirement in 1993.

Gloria was predeceased by her husband Winston (Pint) in 1968. She leaves her children Diana MacKinnon, Bondville, VT, Kristina Inforati (Frank), Ipswich, MA and Peter, Port Charlotte, FL. She also leaves grandchildren Alexander MacKinnon (Kristi), Belmont, MA, Andrew MacKinnon (Gillian), Shelburne, VT and Julianna Inforati, Dorchester, MA and great-grandchildren Lawson and Foley in VT and Finlay in MA.

She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Charlotte and Stanley Lindberg, son-in-law William (Sandy) MacKinnon and her step-mother Bessie (Shepardson) Thoren. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Burial in South Cemetary will be private.
