Marvin Johnson Obituary
Marvin was born in Memphis, TN to Ceola and Willie Johnson. He attended the Memphis City Schools, graduating from South Side High School and the University of Memphis, where he received a Bachelor of Science in education. Marvin dedicated his life to teaching in the Memphis City Schools and Bartlett City schools for 25 years.
Marvin loved to read and enjoyed watching the Tigers play basketball. He loved music as well as dancing, and he was a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma fraternity.
He is survived by his spouse of 48 years, Rollin Kocsis, his aunt Gwendolyn Glenn, and a host of beloved cousins and friends.
Marvin's 'Celebration of Life' gathering will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 10 am until 12 pm at the Starlight Event Center,
895 N. White Station Rd, Memphis, TN 38122.
