Donald Bennett Obituary

Donald Ray Bennett, of Memphis, TN went home to be with the Lord on November 10, 2024. He was born on February 10, 1938 in Blackton, Arkansas. Don was an active member of Leawood Baptist Church where he loved activities and fellowship with his church family. He was a devoted husband and father who loved his family and always enjoyed spending time with them. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and his most loved hobby of gardening. Don was known for his bountiful vegetable gardens and sharing his harvest with family and friends. Don was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Mary Bennett of Blackton, Arkansas; sister, Velma Hill of Memphis, TN; and brothers Buddy Bennett of Memphis, TN; Charlie Bennett of Tupelo, MS, and Elmer Lee Bennett of Modesto, CA. Don leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 67 years Patricia Ann Bennett: daughters, Betty Bennett of Memphis, Tennessee, Pam Hopkins of Alpena, Arkansas, Donna Hollie of Oakland, Tennessee, and son, Donnie (Sharon) Bennett of Senatobia, Mississippi; and brother, Mackie Bennett of Forrest City, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Trae Hopkins, Brandon Hollie, Cassidy Graham, Trent Hollie, Matthew Bennett, and Rachel Bennett; and three great children, Bennett Hollie, Ruby Jane Hollie and AJ Hopkins. Donald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be missed dearly and will forever be in our hearts.
