John Missall III

Missall, III, John Walter

age 75, departed this life on December 5, 2024. A resident of Centerville, Ohio, John was born on May 18, 1949, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, to his loving parents, Betty and John Missall. John grew up in Dayton and attended Archbishop Alter High School, where he laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to education and the arts. He furthered his education at Bowling Green State University, graduating with a degree in Art Education. During his time at BGSU, he met the love of his life, Jerilyn" Lyn" Manera. The couple wed in 1972. In 1978, John and Lyn moved to Centerville, Ohio, where they soon welcomed the birth of their beloved, only son, Jonathan. John became an integral part of his family construction business, John Missall and Company, where he honed his skills in various facets of the trade. Eventually, he established JMIII Construction. A devout Roman Catholic, John was an active member of Saint Albert the Great Parish in Kettering. He volunteered his time as a reader during church Masses and found fellowship in the community through his involvement with the friends of Bill W. A visitation will be held on December 18, 2024, at Routsong funeral home Centerville Chapel (81 N Main st) from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
