Howard Arthur Walker

Howard Arthur Walker, 73, of Woodbridge, Va passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Howard was born in 1952 to Richard Frank and Ann Marie Walker in Dayton, Ohio. He graduated from Archbishop Alter High School in Kettering, Ohio and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Saint Joseph's College in Collegeville, Indiana. Howard and his wife, Lois Jean Walker (Van Wingerden) moved to Woodbridge, Va in 1987 and he spent nearly four decades working in and leading service departments in the automotive industry until his retirement in 2023.

Howard will be greatly missed by his family and the many friends he made throughout his life.

Howard is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lois; their three children, Howard Jonathan, Maria Christine, and Nicholas Scott; as well as his sisters Mary Ann Keyes (Rick Poterack), and Peggy Mayhew; his brother Richard Walker (Madine), his sisters-in-law Cathy Smith, Donna Van Wingerden, and Barb Lyon (Tom); and his brothers-in-law Russ Van Wingerden (Hanh) and Don Van Wingerden (Josie); in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers-in-law Craig Smith, Bill Mayhew, and Matthew Peltz.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 6:00-9:00pm at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home (4143 Dale Boulevard Woodbridge, Va 22193) followed by a Funeral Mass on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (12975 Purcell Rd Manassas, VA 20112)

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (now known as Blood Cancer United).
