Amy Manring Obituary
She was the devoted daughter of her loving parents, Marcia G. Manring and Jones Clark Manring, both of whom predeceased her. Amy is survived by her sister, Martha Hankins
A brilliant scholar, Amy graduated valedictorian of Mount Desert High School and later as valedictorian of Saint Joseph's College in Biddeford, Maine. She took great pride in her work as the transportation coordinator for Island Connections.
Amy found immense joy in reading and set an annual challenge for herself to read as many books as possible. She was deeply fascinated by the natural world – which ignited her curiosity and inspired her to write in her leisure time.
Amy will be fondly remembered for her fierce independence, her passion for learning, and the quiet strength she brought to every part of her life.
