Gary Krumm Obituary

Krumm, Gary Michael

Gary Michael Krumm, aged 72, of Dayton, Ohio, went to his Heavenly Home on Jesus' birthday. Born on May 21, 1952, in Columbus, Ohio to Gerald and Bert (Searles) Krumm, Gary was a cherished husband, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife of over 30 years, Linda (Kinney) Krumm, and a family that admired him deeply, including his mother Bert, sister Linda (Krumm) Calendine, brother-in-law Robert Calendine, sister-in-law Sherry Krumm, sister-in-law Sherie Kinney, mother-in-law Bobbie Kinney, brother-in-law John Kinney, his nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends. Gary was predeceased by his father, Gerald Krumm, his brother Larry Krumm, nephew Michael Krumm, sister-in-law Wendy (Kinney) Blythe, and father-in-law Winfield Kinney. Gary found his calling in the medical field, having graduated with an associate degree in respiratory therapy from Sinclair College. His career spanned 42 years, diligently serving patients in the Dayton area, notably at Good Samaritan Hospital for many years. He was known for a passion for his work that earned him the love and respect of patients and colleagues alike. An avid Ohio State University fan, Gary exemplified the adage that being from Columbus meant bleeding scarlet and gray. He was a faithful member of the Union United Methodist Church, where he found strength and fellowship. Gary's love for hunting with his beloved dogs, boating at Indian Lake, and enjoying the great outdoors defined his zest for life. Upon retirement, Gary embraced the spirit of giving back. He volunteered with enthusiasm at FISH organization and various church food pantries, sharing his boundless energy and warm smile with those in need. Gary's arrangements are in care of Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home. Services will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in his memory to either Hospice of Dayton or Handivan of Brookville. You can share memories and condolences with the family at www.bakerhazelsnider.com

My kids and I served with Gary at our church food pantry. He was always giving and would help out wherever he could. Gary was always vocal about his beliefs and shared his love by giving and helping those in need. His friends were so important to him. His wife, Linda, was his world and he definitely loved her. Gary was a great example for my kids to see someone sharing the love of Jesus by helping those in need. We were blessed by Gary and know many others were as well. Praying for Linda and know Gary is up with Jesus watching over her too!

Linda and family, I attend Union United Methodist Church. Gary would sell our Easter Eggs at the hardware store in Englewood on the two Saturdays before Easter for us ladies. Gary was always willing to help out where he could. His smile was a welcoming sight. I´ve missed his presence the last couple of years. So sorry to hear of his passing.

Gary was always such a great friend, who kept me laughing, when around him. Many fun times with him and his wife Linda. Rest in peace dear friend.
