Thomas "Tom" Krumm

Thomas A. Krumm, 70, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away at his home on December 25, 2025.

Per Thomas’ wishes, no formal services will be held.

Thomas “Tom” A. Krumm was born on September 9, 1955, in Aberdeen, SD, to Andrew and Irene (Hopfinger) Krumm. Tom graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 1973 and spent his working years with Town & Country Lumber, Hub City, and later, the South Dakota Department of Transportation, from which he retired.

Tom found great joy in hunting, which gave him peace and a connection to the land. He was well-read and thoughtful, with a love for storytelling. He especially enjoyed sharing stories from his childhood and history, and those moments of conversation will be fondly remembered by those who knew him.

Above all else, Tom was a devoted son. He lovingly cared for his mother in her later years until she passed away in 2020.

Tom is survived by his siblings: Berni (Merlin) Kramer, Jim Krumm, Diana (Chad) Anderson, Ken (Tammy) Krumm, and Laurie Gates; and four nephews and two nieces, who will always remember him as a kind presence in their lives.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Irene Krumm.
