Iva Roger de Coverley
West Lebanon, NH - It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Iva Roger de Coverley, a remarkable woman of intellect, kindness, and joy. She passed peacefully in her sleep, on December 27, 2024, survived by her four daughters and leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Growing up on the family farm in New Jersey with her two brothers and sister, Iva learned the value of hard work and she never shied away from getting her hands dirty, even if it was just for fun. A true farm girl at heart, she raised prize-winning bulls in 4-H. Her favorite, Sunny, found a special place in her heart.
Born with a deep passion for learning, Iva dedicated her life to education and self-improvement. She earned two Master's Degrees; one in Physical Therapy from the University of Pennsylvania and one in Rehabilitation Counseling from New York University. She was especially proud of the work she accomplished through her internships at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Saint Mary's Hospital in San Francisco, and Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine. Iva shared her wisdom as a lecturer and teacher, a reflection of her commitment to helping others and making a difference.
Being an active member of Toastmasters, Iva found the perfect outlet to combine her love for learning with her desire to positively impact others. A lifelong passion for dance enriched her life starting at a young age with tap dancing and culminating into an award-winning ballroom dancer. She reveled in the beauty of diverse cultures, traveling extensively and was eager to see the world through new perspectives. Her adventurous spirit was complemented by her faith, deep compassion, charitable nature, and random acts of kindness creating a lasting ripple effect that extended to her family, friends, and community.
Personal connection meant everything and Iva's devotion to family and friends was paramount. Her relationships were authentic, and she took time to generously express her gratitude for them, a true testament to the amazing mom, grandmom, great-grandmom, aunt, daughter, sister, wife, friend and colleague she was. Iva's life was a beautiful reminder of the power of learning, charitable giving, and making the moments count.
Rest in peace, Mom, and thank you for the memories that will remain in our hearts forever.
