Warren, I am so sorry about Sara's passing. She was a dear childhood friend in Storrs from nursery school through Windham High. I had last seen her at our high school reunion a few years ago. We shared so much growing up in our small community and I have a special place in my heart for her. I'd love to know if you are planning a service. My condolences.

I send condolences from our Caring Connections at the Storrs Congregational Church to the family of Sara DeMont. I knew her mother Neva and Garland Wagner in the days there family was in Storrs. I recently met a dear freind who was Sara's age and who was in school with her at the old Storrs Grammar School at a gathering of supporters of the Campaign for the new Grand Piano at the Jorgensen Arts Center, the hub of music and theater at the University of Connecticut. Should the family wish to know more about our archives of the time that Neva and Garland were in Storrs, I would be glad to talk more about the many Wagner pieces of art we have hanging in our church buildings at 2 North Eagleville Road, Storrs CT. We also have books and materials about Neva's contributions to "homemaking" assistive devices for person with limited mobility. As a Physical Therapy Student at UCONN in the 60's I had the pleasure of meeting and learning from Neva. We have made a donation to WAIM, the Windham Area Interfaith Ministry for which our Storrs Congregationa Church was the first beginnings of clothes, food and furniture to be available for the greater Windham community including students at UCONN. Neva and her good friends including the Hanson's and the Dowds (they lived near the Wagnor home on Dog Lane. Such memories of the family roll through my mind. I wanted to invite inquiries as we have many remembrances in our archives of the contributions of the Wagner family. it sounds like Sara lived a life of service carrying on the legacy of her parents.
