Mary Bright Obituary

Mary Virginia Bright, 94, of Paris TN, departed her earthly life on Monday, January 13, 2025, with her dear friend and caregiver, Lynda McAdoo, by her side. She was a long-time resident of Paris TN. She was born in Agra OK on April 24, 1930, to Hattie and Benjamin Nowotny and was married to Tommy Joe Bright who preceded her in death. Mrs. Bright was an employee of Union Planter Bank before retiring and moving to Paris TN where she became an active member of the Church of Nazarene. Ms. Mary enjoyed needle work, especially quilting. She hand made more than one hundred quilts. She crocheted toboggans, scarves, and blankets. She also enjoyed painting. She loved going out to eat especially at Tom's Pizza in Paris. She leaves two sons: Tommy Joe Bright Jr. (Jeannie) of Memphis TN and Benjamin Kelly Bright of Senatobia, MS. She leaves four grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and four nieces. Memorial services will be held January 21, 2025, at Forest Hill Funeral Home, Memphis TN.
